The newest update of the SkyTrackPro iOS and Android apps introduces powerful new features for both XC and competition pilots. This release focuses on better race awareness, advanced thermal tools, improved performance, and significantly reduced battery consumption.
A new race information banner gives pilots instant feedback about their glide to ESS or Goal. The system continuously evaluates the required glide and displays a clear color indicator to support quick decision making during final glide.
The banner also fully supports the new Elevated Goal rule introduced with GAP 2026.
SkyTrackPro now integrates KK7 Thermal Maps directly into the navigation system. These maps highlight potential thermal trigger locations and help pilots plan more efficient XC routes.
Thermal maps are available both online and offline, making them usable even in remote areas without mobile coverage.
The flight logbook now includes additional statistics giving pilots deeper insight into their flights and performance.
SkyTrackPro now includes a built-in Benchmark Flight Simulator. This tool runs a deterministic synthetic XC flight through the full flight recorder and map pipeline, allowing pilots to test performance without actually flying.
The simulator allows testing of:
Additionally, an ESS / Goal Simulator has been added allowing pilots to simulate race situations and test the information banner behaviour during final glide.
These tools are especially useful for comparing device performance or testing cockpit layouts before real flights.
After testing the benchmark tools, remember to disable Debug Mode again.
Significant improvements were made to the flight recorder, map rendering pipeline, and UI update cycles. These changes dramatically improve efficiency during long flights.
Benchmark tests show up to 50% lower battery consumption compared to previous versions.
